If (23 – x ) is the mean proportional of ( 28 – x) and (19 – x ) , then

find the value of x.​

(28-x):(23-x)::(23-x):(19-x)

Product of extremes = Product of means

(23-x)^2 = (28-x)(19-x)

x^2+529-46x = x^2-47x+532

x=3

Therefore value of x is 3
