Answer:

fat in 240L milk-240x8/100=19.20L

fat in 160L. = 160x15/100=24L Total fat=19.20+24 = 43.20L

Total milk 240+160=400L

% off fat in the mixture=43-20x100/400 = 10.8%

\large\underline\pink{Given:-}

  • 240 litre milk containing 8%fat
  • 160 litre milk containing 15%fat

\large\underline\pink{To find:-}

  • find the percentage of fat in the mixture ....?

\large\underline\pink{Solutions:-}

240 litre milk containing 8% fat

240 × 8/100

240 × 2/25

480/25

96/5

  • 96/5 L fat is present in 240 L of milk.

160 litre milk containing 15%fat

160 × 15/100

2 × 15/5

30/5

6

  • 6 L fat is present in 160 L of milk.

Now,

Both milk are mixed up:-

240 + 160

400

fat present in 400 L of milk is :-

96/5 + 5/1

96 + 25 / 5

121/5

Now,

present of fat:-

121/5/400/1 × 100

121/5 × 1/4

121/20

6.05 %

hence, 6.05% of fat is present in the mixture.
