If 250 rupees amounts to 285rupees in 2 years Find the rate per annum

SI= p×r×t/100

p= 250 Rs.

t= 2 yrs

285= 250×2×r/100 (take away a zero from 250 and 100)

285= 25×2×r/10

285= 50×r/10 (take away a zero from 50 and 10)

285/5=r (transposition)

r=57 Rs.
