assume 2a = 3b
so a/b = 3/2 = 6/4(cross multiply and multiply two.we do this in order to get b=b for the next step)
also 3b = 4c
so b/c = 4/3
hence a : b : c = 6 : 4 : 3

Answer:

The value of a:b:c=6:4:3

To find:

The value of the ratios a:b:c

Solution:

Given, 2a = 3b = 4c

\begin{array} { c c c } { 2 a = 3 b } & { \& } & { 3 b = 4 c } \\\\ { a : b = 3 : 2 } & { \& } & { b : c = 4 : 3 } \end{array}

The ratio b is common in both the parts. Hence, we need to make the ratio of b same to combine all the three parts together

So, lets multiply a and b by 2,

a : b = 6 : 4 \quad \& \quad b : c = 4 : 3

Now, the value of b is same in both the parts. Hence the value of a:b:c=6:4:3

\therefore a : b : c = 6 : 4 : 3
