The second term of GP is 24 ,I.e, ar=24
Now divide them ,
(ar^4)/(ar)=81/24
r^3=27/8
r=3/2
Then substitute the value of r in ar=24
a×3/2=24
a=24×2/3
a=48/3
a=16
Therefore the first term a is 16 .
