Answer:

The values of p is 2,6 and q is 1,3

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

  • (2p-q)+i(p+2q)=(p+q)+i(q²+3) ---------------------(i)

we have to find the value of x and y.

So,

Compare the real part in given equation-(i),

(2p-q) = (p+q)

2p - p -q - q = 0

p - 2q = 0

p = 2q -----------------(ii)

Now, compare the imagenery part,

p + 2q = q²+3

p - q² + 2q = 3

Put the value of p from equation-(i), it becomes-

2q - q² + 2q = 3

q² - 4q + 3 = 0

q(q - 3) - 1(q - 3) = 0

(q - 1)(q - 3) = 0

q = 1,3

In equation (i)

For q = 1,

p = 2

for q = 3,

p = 6
