To find : the value of  \frac{3x + 1}{2x}

Given : \frac{2x + 1}{3x} = -6

Solution :

  • According to question wee are given that \frac{2x + 1}{3x} = -6 and we have to find the value of \frac{3x + 1}{2x} .
  • Firstly we find the value of x by cross multiplying the given expression \frac{2x + 1}{3x} = -6
  • Therefore , we get ,2x + 1= -18x

                                                 1 = -20x \\x = \frac{-1}{20}

  • Substituting the value of x in \frac{3x + 1}{2x}  we get,

                                    \frac{\frac{-3}{20} + 1 }{\frac{-2}{20} } = \frac{17}{2}

Hence , the value of  \frac{3x + 1}{2x} is \frac{17}{2}.
