x = 2  if  2x+1, 4x, 13-x are in Arithmetic progression

Step-by-step explanation:

2x+1, 4x, 13-x are in Arithmetic progression

so they must have common difference betwen consecutive terms

Hence

4x - (2x + 1)  = (13 - x) - 4x

=> 4x - 2x - 1 = 13 - x - 4x

=> 2x - 1 = 13 - 5x

=> 7x = 14

=> x = 2
