$2x + 4y = 13 \\ 4x + 2y = 17$

Now... Multipyling eqn 1 by 2

$4x + 8y = 26 \\ 4x + 2y = 17$

Now subtracting both eqns.

$10y = 43$

$y = 4.3$

and x=13-4(4.3)/2
