2(x²  - 1/x²) = 1/2  if 2x = Secθ    & 2/x = Tanθ

Step-by-step explanation:

2x = Secθ    & 2/x = Tanθ

2(x²  - 1/x²)

= 2(x + 1/x)(x - 1/x)

= (2x + 2/x) (x  - 1/x)

= (Secθ + Tanθ)(2x - 2/x)/2

= (Secθ + Tanθ)(Secθ - Tanθ)/2

= (Sec²θ - Tan²θ)/2

= 1/2

2(x²  - 1/x²) = 1/2  if 2x = Secθ    & 2/x = Tanθ
