In fig ABCD is a trapezium in which AB//DC and DC=40 and AB=60 cm. If X and Y are respectively the midpoints of AD and BC ,prove that
1)XY =50 cm
2)DCYX is a trapezium
3)Area (trap DCYX) =9/11 Area (trap XYBA)

Given: AB parallel CD, AB=40cm,CD=60cm,X and Y are mid points of AD and BC respectively.

To Prove:i) XY=50cm
ii) DCYX is a parallelogram
iii) ar(DCYX)=9/11 ar(XYBA)
