If the given numbers are in A.P, there common difference must be same.

x + 10 - 2x = 3x + 2 - (x + 10) \\  \\  - x + 10 = 3x + 2 - x - 10 \\   \\  - x + 10 = 2x - 8 \\  \\  - x - 2x =  - 8 - 10 \\  \\  - 3x =  - 18 \\  \\ x =  \frac{ - 18}{ - 3}  \\  \\ x = 6

Hence, the value of x is 6.
