3x-py-7 equals to 3*3-p*(-2)-7
9+2p-7 equals to 2+2p
2p equals to -2
so p equals to -2/2 equals to -1

put x=3 and y=-2
we get
3x-py-7=0
3×3-p(-2) -7=0
9+2p-7=0
2p=7-9
2p=-2
p=-2/2
p=-1
