The value of x-y is 2.

  • Given 3 = \frac{6+3y}{x}
  • Now we rearrange the terms to find out the required expression (x-y).

3 = \frac{6+3y}{x}

3x = 6 + 3y    (Multiplying 3 on other side of the equation)

  • We have to find the value of x - y.

3x - 3y = 6  (Taking 3y on the other side)

x - y =2   (Dividing the equation by 3 throughout)

  • The value of x - y is 2.
