To Find  : 3*5= ??​

Solution:

3 * 7 = 16

3 * 7 =   ( 3 - 1) * ( 7 + 1)  =  2 * 8 = 16

6  * 4  = 25

6  * 4 =  (6 - 1) * ( 4 + 1)   = 5 * 5  = 25

3*5=  ( 3 - 1) * ( 5 + 1)  = 2 * 6  = 12

3*5  = 12

Logic is  

a * b  = c

=> c = (a - 1) ( b + 1)
