Here's your answer...

Let,

f(x)=x³-2x²+kx-5

If 3 is the zero of the polynomial,then

0=(3)³-2(3)²+k(3)-5

0=27-2(9)+3k-5

0=27-18+3k-5

0=4+3k

-4=3k

-4/3 = k

The value of k is -4/3
