let numerator is x and denominator is y
fraction = x/y
according to question
x = y-6 -----------------(1)
(x+3)/y = 2/3
3x+9 = 2y ------------------------(2)
(2) - 2×(1)
x+9 = 12
x = 3
put the value of x in equation (1)
y =  6+3 = 9
fraction = 3/9 = 1/3
