Let us represent the whole thing as-

 \frac{10 \times 8 \times 9}{3}

  = \frac{720}{3}

 = 240

So, in 1kg sugar there are 240 crystals.

Therefore, there will be 240×4 crystals in 4kg sugar= 240×4= 960 crystals

Hope it helps.
