if 3 X + 2 Y is equal 12 and X Y is equal 6 find the value of 9 X square + 4 y square

Answer is 72

First square on both sides
you will get

9x^2+4x^2+12xy=144

you know the value of xy put it and get the answer

(3x+2y)^2=9x^2+2*3x*2y+4y^2
12^2=9x^2+12xy+4y^2
144=9x^2+12*6+4y^2
144=9x^2+4y^2+72
9x^2+4y^2=144-72
=72
