3x - 2y = 5 .........(I)
-2x + 3y = 3.......(ii)
(i) * 3 + (ii) * 2, we get
9x - 6y = 15
-4x + 6y = 6
___________
5x = 21
or, x = 21/5
Putting the value of x in eq (I), we get
3(21/5) - 2y = 5
or, y = 19/5
Therefore, x - y = 21/5 - 19/5 = 2/5
and xy = 21/5 * 19/5 = 399/5
