3x-2y = 4........eqn(i)
2x +y= 5..........eqn(ii)
now,
By ELIMINATION METHOD
(i)×2 - (ii)×3
6x-4y=8
-6x- 3y=-15
-----------------
-7y=-7
Therefore
y= 1
NOW PUTTING THE VALUE OF y=1 in eqn (ii),
we get
2x + 1 =5
2x=4
x = 2
now
y=2x+m
1= 2×2+m
1=4+m
m=-3
2x +y= 5..........eqn(ii)
now,
By ELIMINATION METHOD
(i)×2 - (ii)×3
6x-4y=8
-6x- 3y=-15
-----------------
-7y=-7
Therefore
y= 1
NOW PUTTING THE VALUE OF y=1 in eqn (ii),
we get
2x + 1 =5
2x=4
x = 2
now
y=2x+m
1= 2×2+m
1=4+m
m=-3
