From equation 1 ... y =3x-27lets call this as equation 3
Substitution equation 3 in equation 2
3x+3x-27=243..==>
6x=243-27
x =216÷6=36
So substitution x=36 in equation 3
y=3(36)-27=81
So x=36 :y=81

Here is your answer....
3 x - y = 27 1.
3 x + y = 243 2.
Subtract 1 from 2,
after subtracting u'll get
y = 108
now put, the value of y in equation 1,
and then u'll get the answer of x which is
x = 45.
