if 4 x + 6 Y is equal to 32 and 46 minus 2 Y is equals to 4 then the value of x y

hey Frnd.....
given that
4x + 6y = 32 -------> eq 1
4x - 2y = 4 ---------> eq 2

subtract both equation.... 4x will be cancelled out we get
6y - (-2y) = 32-4
8y = 28
y = 7/2
y = 3.5

now put this value in eq 1
4x +6(3.5) = 32
4x + 21 = 32
4x = 11
x = 2.75

so the value of x = 2.75 and y = 3.5
