Given :

To find :

Find x

Solution:

40 percent of 70  =$40\% \times 70 = 0.4(70)=28$

30 percent of 80 = $30\% \times 80 = 0.3(80)=24$

40 percent of 70 is x more than 30 percent of 80

So, 24+x=28

x=28-24

x=4

Hence the value of x is 4
