If 5,12 are the two members of a Pythagorean triplet,find the third number which is the largest?

13 is the other number.
√5*5+12*12 = √25+144 = √169 =13
Base *base + perpendicular*perpendicular = hypotenuse*hypotenuse.

Pythagorean Triplet :
C square = A square + B square

Let :
5 be A , 12 be B and last let c alone
C square = 5 square + 12 square
C square = 25 + 144
C square = 169
C = √169
C = 13
