If -5(a + b) + 2(2a - b)
+ 40 - 7 = -24, then
find the value of a,
given that b = 2.​

Answer:

-5(a+2) +2(2a-2)+33 = -24

-5a -10 +4a -4 +33= -24

-a +19 = -24

-a = -43

a= 43

5a+5b +4a - 2b +40+24-7 = 0

b= 2

5a +5×2+4a -2×2 +64 -7 =0

9a +10 - 4 +64-7=0

9a +74-11 =O

9a = 63

a= - 63/9
