if -5 is root of quadratic equation 2x^2 +px-15=0. find what is the value of p

2x^2+px-15=0
-5 satisfies the equation
2(-5)^2+p(-5)-15=0
50-5p-15=0
5p=35
p=7

2x^2 +px-15=0is a quadratic eq as -5 is the root substituting in the eq we get p=7
