Answer:

It will take 36 days for 39 men to complete the entire work

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data is,

No.of men required to do the work=52men

No.of days taken by the given number of men to complete the work=27days

Therefore,work done by one man in 27 days is

 \frac{1}{52}

Now,the work done by one man in one day is given as

  \frac{work  \: done \: in \: 27 \: days}{number \: of \: days}

Hence the work is

 \frac{ \frac{1}{52} }{27}  =  \frac{1}{1404}

Now we are required to find the time taken for 39 men to complete the same work.Since we know the work done by one man in one day,work done by 39 men in a day is

39 \times  \frac{1}{1404}  =  \frac{13}{468}  =  \frac{1}{36}

Therefore,no.of days required to complete entire work is nothing but reciprocal of work done in one day.Hence,the work is done in

 \frac{1}{ \frac{1}{36} }  = 36 \: days

Answer:

39 men can finish the piece of work in 36 days.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since, 52 men can do a complete piece of work in 27 days,

           ⇒ 1 man can do a complete piece of work in (27 X 52) days,

           ⇒ 1 man can do a portion of work in 1 day is \frac{1}{(52X27)}

           ⇒ 39 men can do portion of  the work in 1 day is  \frac{1}{(52X27)} X 39

           ⇒ 39 men can do a complete piece of work in \frac{(52 X 27)}{39} = 36 days.

So, 39 men can finish the piece of work in 36 days.
