if 5A, 10A 13a fuses are available state which is most appropriate for the following appliances which are both connected to a 240 volt supply(a)electric toaster having a power rating of 1 kilowatt(b)electric fire and the power rating of 3 Kilowatt.

(a) For the toaster,

current =p/v =1000/240=100/24= 4.17 A

Hence a 5 A fuse is most appropriate

(b) For the fire,

current =p/v =3000/240=300/24= 12.5A

Hence a 13 A fuse is most appropriate
