If (5x-3)² = 25x² + Kx + 9, then find k ?

Using (a - b)^2 = a^2 + b^2 -2ab

we get,

( 5x - 3)^2 = 25x^2 + 9 - 30x

Now equate them,

25x^2 + 9 - 30x = 25x^2 + kx + 9

- 30x - kx = 25x^2 - 25x^2 + 9 - 9

-30x - kx = 0

-x (30 + k) = 0

30 + k = 0

k = -30
