Heya !!!

( 5X - 7 ) ( 2X + 4 ) = 10X × X - PX - 28

5X ( 2X + 4 ) -7 ( 2X + 4 ) = 10X² - PX - 28

10X² + 20X - 14X - 28 = 10X² - PX - 28

10X² - 10X² + 6X - 28 + 28 + PX = 0

6X + PX = 0

X ( 6 + P ) = 0

6 + P = 0

P = -6

Given:

An equation (5x - 7) (2x + 4) =10x*x - px -28.

To Find:

The value of x such that it satisfies the equation

Solution:

1. The given equation is (5x - 7) (2x + 4) =10x*x - px -28,

2. Consider the LHS of the given equation,

=> (5x - 7) (2x + 4), ( Expand the equation ),

=> 5x * 2x + 4*5x -7*2x -7*4,

=> 10x² + 20x - 14x - 28,

=> 10x² + 6x - 28,

3. Equate the modified form with the RHS,

=> 10x² + 6x - 28 =  10x² -px - 28,

=> 10x² + 6x - 28 - 10x² + 28 = -px, ( Simplify by adding the like terms),

=> 6x = -px,

=> -p = 6,

=> p = -6.

Therefore, the value of p in the given equation is -6.
