If 6.0g of magnesium combine with 4.0g of oxygen to form magnesium oxide, what weight of magnesium oxide could be formed from 9.6g of magnesium? Show how these data illustrate law of conservation of mass.​

so, 6 U + 4 U ---------------> 10 U

= 6g + 4g -----------> 10g

as per balanced equation,

6g of magnesium -------> 10g of magnesium oxide

9.6g of magnesium ----> xg of megnsium oxide

(9.6)(10g)/6 ---------> xg

16g ---------> x

since 16 grams of magnesium oxide can be obtained from 9.6 grams of magnesium
