The number of more lorries required =4

Explanation:

Let L= Number of lorries

D = Number of days

G = Amount of goods  ( in tons)

Here , L \alpha G

G\alpha\dfrac{1}{D}

Then,  L_1D_1G_2=L_2D_1G_1

Put L_1=6,\ \ G_1=135\ \ D_1=5

and G_2=180  D_2=4

, we get

(6)(5)(180)=L_2(4)(135)\\\\ L_2=\dfrac{(6)(5)(180)}{(4)(135)}=10

Hence , the number of lorries required to transport 180 tonnes of goods in 4 days =10

The number of more lorries = 10 -6 = 4

Hence, the number of more lorries required =4
