let A be the efficiency of a man to do work and B be the efficiency of a boy to do work and x unit is work
therefore when 6 men and 10 boys complete a work in 4 days therefore equation is
A/6 +B/10 = 4 (1)
when 4 men and 10 boys complete a work in 5 days then equation is
A/4 + B/10 = 5 (2)
now by elimination method
A/4 - A/6 = 1
(6A-4A)/24 = 1
2A = 24
A = 12
put in equation 2
12/4 + B/10 = 5
3 + B/10 = 5
B/10 = 2 or B = 20
when 2 men and 5 boys do this work then they complete it in
12/2 + 20/5 = 6 + 4 = 10 days
therefore when 6 men and 10 boys complete a work in 4 days therefore equation is
