GIVEN :-

  • 60% of the total salary is Rs. 3000 .

TO FIND :-

  • The total salary.

SOLUTION :-

Let the total salary be "x".

Accoding to question

➟ 60% of x = 3000

➟ (60/100) × x = 3000

➟ (3/5) × x = 3000

➟ x = (3000 × 5)/3

➟ x = 1000 × 5

x = 5000.

Hence the total salary is Rs. 5000

 \rule{250}{3}

Verification,

➙ 60% of x = 3000

  • Now put the value if x = 5000.

➙ (60/100) × 5000 = 3000

➙ 60 × 50 = 3000

3000 = 3000

Hence Verified.
