Given :-

  • (7M + 5B) can reap 168 hectares in 18days.
  • One man being able to do 3 times as much as work of a boy.

To find :-

  • In how many days will (15M+ 5B) take to reap 700 hectares.

Solution :-

Either we convert both data in men or in boys .

Lets convert In boys .

→ 1M = 3B (Efficiency)

→ 7M = 21B

→ 15M = 45B

So, Now, Question becomes ,

if (21B + 5B) = 26B can reap 168 hectares in 18 days , in how many days , (15M + 5B) = 50B will reap 700 hectares.

we know that,

→ B1 * D1 * W2 = B2 * D2 * W1 ( work is indirectly proportional) .

we have now :-

  • B1 = 26 boys.
  • D1 = 18 days.
  • W1 = 168 hectares.
  • B2 = 50B
  • D2 = ? (we have to find.)
  • W2 = 700 hectares.

(Reaping is work done here.)

So,

Putting all values now, we get :-

26 * 18 * 700 = 50 * D2 * 168

→ 26 * 18 * 14 = D2 * 168

→ 26 * 18 = D2 * 12

→ 26 * 3 = D2 * 2

→ D2 = 13 * 3

→ D2 = 39 Days. (Ans.)
