We know that,
b=(a+c)/2
Where a,b,c are consecutive terms of an AP
So,
6P-2=(8P+4+2P-2)/2
2(6P-2)=8P+2P+4-2
12P-4=10P+2
12P-10P=2+4
2P=6
P=3
