Answer:

let A is origin and c be a point on x axis and b be a point on y axis ....now , it forms a triangle of height 4 units and base 5 units

area of triangle in this case is =1/2×base×height

=1/2×5×4

=5×2

=10 sq.units

So the area of triangle is 10sq.units

Answer:

Area of triangle ABC is 10units

Step-by-step explanation:

We know area of any triangle is defined by 1 / 2 | a( d - f ) + c( e - b ) + e( b - d ) | for points ( a , b ) , ( c , d ) and ( e , f ).

Thus, here, points are A( 0, 0 ), B(4,0), C(0,5) :

= > Area of the ∆ABC = 1 / 2 | 0( 0 - 5 ) + 4( 5 - 0 ) + 0( 0 - 0 ) |

= > Area of ∆ABC = 1 / 2 | 4( 5 ) |

= > Area of ∆ABC = 1 / 2 x 4( 5 ) = 2( 5 )

= > Area of ∆ABC = 10

Thus, area of the triangle ABC is 10 unit.
