If a = 0, can you say ax2+ bx + c = 0 is a quadratic equation ? Explain?​

1. A quadratic equation is any equation having form ax^2+bx+c=0 where x represents an unknown, and a, b, and c represent known numbers .(simply the equation having highest power 2 is quadratic equation).

2.A linear equation is any equation having form ax + b = 0 where a and b are constants and a ≠ 0. The constants may be numbers.

3. If a not equal to 0 and b equal to 0 then equation becomes ax^2+c=0 which is a quadratic equation

4. If a equal to 0 and b not equal to 0 then equation becomes bx+c=0 which is a linear equation and not quadratic equation.

So ans is option B
