a - 2, 3 * a, a + 2

If they are in an A.P,

then, Common Difference (d) is the same.

=> Second Term (A_2) - First term (A_1) = Third Term (A_3) - Second Term (A_2)

=> 3 * a - (a - 2) = a + 2 - (3 * a)

=> (3 * a - a) + 2 = 2 + (a - 3 * a)

=> 2 * a + 2 = 2 - 2 * a

=> 4 * a = 0

=> a = 0
