Hey,

(a+b)² = a² + b² +2ab

(a+b)² = 100 + 2(48)

(a+b)² = 100 + 96

(a+b)² = 196

(a+b) = √196

(a+b) = 14

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU

a^2 + b^2 =100. ;ab=48 ;a+b

(a+b)^2=.a^2 + b^2 +2ab

(a+b)^2=.100+2*48

(a+b)^2=.100+96

(a+b)^2=.196

(a+b)=.root 196
