hey it's your ans-

a = 2

b = -2

a^2 - b^2 = a^2 - 2ab + b^2

By  \: identity

= a^2 - 2ab + b^2

= 2^2 - 2 × 2 × (-2) + (-2)^2

= 4 + 8 + 4

= 16

so \:  the  \: value   \: of\: a² -b² \:  = 16
