Now,Place the values given here:---
A=30
tan A=1/√[3]
tan²A=1/3 ------------------[1]
Now,
Let is consider that,
L.H.S=cos2A=cos2[30]=cos60⇒1/2.
AND
R.H.S=[1-tan²A] / [1+tan²A]
⇒{1-tan²[30]} / {1+tan²[30]} ---------------- [by using Equation 1]
⇒[1-1/3] / [1+1/3]
⇒[2/3] / [4/3] ⇒"1/2".
So,We can say that L.H.S=R.H.S.
Hence proved.
