Answer:

Here,

a = -35

b = 10

c = -5

i) a + (b+c) = (a+b) +c

=> -35 + {10+(-5)} = {(-35+10)+(-5)}

=> -35+5 = -25 -5

=> -30 = -30

Verified that a+(b+c) = (a+b)+c.

ii) a*(b+c) = (a*b) + (a*c)

=> -35{10+(-5)} = (-35*10) + {(-35)*(-5)}

=> -35(10-5) = -350 + 175

=> -350 + 175 = -350 + 175

=>-175 = -175

Verified that a*(b+c) = (a*b) + (a*c)

Hope it will be helpful for you.
