if a, a-2, a-3 are in AP then find value of a

If this is an AP then,

a-2=d...(1)

16/3-a=d...(2)

from eq.(1) and (2)

a-2=16/3-a

a+a=16/3+2

2a=16+6/3

2a=22/3

a=22/3×2=22/6=11/3
