if a & b are the zeroes of polynomial x^2+x-2, find the value of 1/a - 1/b

Answer:

f(x)= x² + x - 2 =0

using substitution method

x²+ 2x- x - 2 =0

x(x+2)-1(x+2)=0

x= -2

and x= 1

take α = -2 and β = 1

Now,

1/-2 - 1/1

-3/2
