If A and B are dependent events then, P(A | B) = P(A ∩ B)/P(B)
Here P(A | B) indicates the conditional probability of A given B.
P(A ∩B) indicates probability of A and B .
And P(B) is probability of B.for example :- let P(B) = 0.5 , P(A ∩ B) = 0.3 then, find P(A/B) ? . From formula ,
P(A/B) = P(A∩B)/P(B) = 0.3/0.5 = 0.6
Hence, answer is P(A | B) = P(A ∩ B)/P(B)
