If a and b are the zeroes of polynomial x²+kx+45 such that (a+b)²=144, find the value of k

x²+kx+45 =0

Sum of zeroes = -b/a
a + b=-k/1
=-k

It is given that ,

(a+b)^2 = 144
a+b =√144
a+b =12
-k=12
k = -12
