Here,
A = 2 , B = -5 and C = 8.
Sum of zeroes = -B/A
a + b = 5/2 ------(1)
And,
Product of zeroes = C/A
a × b = 8/2
a × b = 4 -----(2).
---------------------------------
a² + b²
=> ( a + b )² - 2ab
=> (5/2)² - 2 × 4
=> 25/4 - 8
=> 25 - 32/4
=> -7/4.
