 {x}^{2}  - x - 4 \\  \\ discriminant =  {b}^{2}  - 4ac \\  = 17 \\  a =  \frac{1 +  \sqrt{17} }{2}  = 2.56 \\ b =  \frac{1 -  \sqrt{17} }{2}  =  - 1.56
